For a short, flexible outing

A park or repeatable loop makes it easier to finish near where you started. Independence Square and the Urban Wetland Park are places to explore. Pick a landmark and learn one section before adding more.

For a waterfront change

Galle Face and Port City offer different coastal settings. Galle Face is a long strip; Port City has a more varied network of promenades and paths. Check current public access at Port City and choose a turnaround rather than assuming a complete circuit.

For a wetland setting

Bellanwila, Diyatha Uyana and Kimbulawela bring different path layouts. Check which parts are walkways, cycling space or road crossings. A published total track length does not necessarily describe one runnable lap.

Make the map useful

Look at access points, nearby roads and your return journey before leaving. Our green lines show mapped walking paths. They do not promise public access, lighting, a particular surface or an exact course distance.
